Battle Royale modes have hit every type of game except chess, so why not create one?
The benefits of implementing are:
1. If fun, will drive further traffic to the site
2. Will garner interest from content creators who constantly are on the look out for something new to spice it up
How it could work:
1. 10(?) players matched in a fully paired and timed simul (everyone plays everyone, 3-5 mins on clock)
2. When you lose on one board, you lose on all boards (or have a time deduction)
3. If you win on one board, you get a time increase to all of your other boards
Happy to have others brainstorm ways to implement this game mode differently, just keen to see something new. This mode would work on computers, but not on mobile - so maybe there is another way to do it (knock-out style last player standing competition?)
