I can't see the pieces I captured

Good evening,

I don't know which parameter to set, but sometimes I can't see my opponent's captured pieces.
It's a bit annoying to have to count them on the chessboard when you're just starting out... Do you have any ideas ?

Thank you.
Lichess does not show all captured pieces but only those that differ, i.e. it omits pieces captured by both players. Thus if you don't see any captured pieces on either side, it means that the material is equal.
However, counting the pieces and pawns still on the board, rather than the captured ones, is actually a good habit to get into. When you play over-the-board there is no requirement for the captured figures to be shown, and if looking at them is your usual habit it could land you in trouble.
